For dilute H₂SO₄ (below 10% concentration) at ambient temperature, SS316L or Alloy 20 (CN7M) is suitable. For concentrated H₂SO₄ or elevated temperatures, Hastelloy C-276 or titanium is required. We provide material selection guidance for your specific concentration and temperature.

Accepted Answer

SS316L has good corrosion resistance up to approximately 300°C in typical chemical environments. At higher temperatures, sensitisation (carbide precipitation) becomes a concern. For elevated temperature service, SS316H or Alloy 625 is recommended.
